Dollars for Dee's Health Dollars for Dee to fight cancer A diagnosis of cancer for yourself, a friend or loved one can be devastating. Cancer affects not just the individual diagnosed, but everyone close to that person. This site is in honor of Dee OHanlon Yoh, our friend, who was diagnosed with colorectal cancer over a year ago. The purpose of this site is to raise money to assist Dee, and her husband, with their very high medical and living expenses during this difficult time. Dee has been battling cancer for over a year now. After chemo, radiation, more chemo and two surgeries, the rectal cancer is still there. Just recently, she tested positive for ovarian cancer and a lump was found in her breast. Unable to work, she can no longer afford health insurance premiums, medications, property taxes to save her home and various other bills that are due in just the next few weeks. If you were asked by a friend to buy a cup of coffee, most of you would not hesitate? Take the money for that cup of coffee and donate it here. Search your heart. Whether you give $1, $5, $25 or even $100, every little bit helps. Our goal is to reach $6,000 by January 13, 2011. This organization doesn't pay until the event ends so we can start a new campaign then but funds are needed right now to get her through the month. Please help us raise dollars for Dee. Remember people are on at different times so you may want to post more than once! E-MAIL: This is a letter from Dee's Sister that you can forward to your e-mail lists. If I told you my sister Dee could really use a cup of coffee, would you be willing to buy her a cup? That could just mean $1 from your pocket. Some of you are saying sure... "heck, I'd even buy her lunch! NO PROBLEM!" Think about how many times we have just blown a dollar on something that didn't make a difference. Dee doesn't need a cup of coffee, but she does need help, and all I'm asking from you, is $1. Some of you already know of Dee's battle with cancer and have been praying for her and our family is so grateful for all your continued prayers. For months I have felt so helpless, not knowing what to do. Things have gotten so much worse for Dee. She continues to get bad news on her health and financially she is at the end of her rope, no longer able to afford health insurance or pay the monthly bills. I just knew I had to think of some way to help her and then I saw a facebook post about ChipIn. But so many of us are struggling financially, at first I didn't see how it could work. But then it hit me. Remember the little boy who was in the hospital who wanted people to send him cards to collect as manly cards as he could? He received thousands of cards. And people were willing to pay for the stamps to go on those cards. So what if I was able to send this to my list and just ask for $1.. and if you would forward it to your list and we kept it going... Maybe $1 at a time, we could really make a difference in Dee's life. So that's what I'm asking... will you please just donate one dollar, then forward this to your friends and ask them for just one dollar and for them to do the same.
